Look inside our own formations and find the 'low-hanging fruit' that we can quickly affect in a positive way. If we all do this, we all get better quick!
After the low hanging fruit, look for those longer term issues that need to be addressed and make a plan to get 'er dun!

Self reflection. We have to start with ourselves and ensure we are producing that outstanding leadership that will help shape today's Army. Then we police our battles. Seems like people are so focused on gaining the next rank without mastering the rank that they have now. As leaders we have to ensure that we are promoting based off of the Soldier's potential to lead and not because there is a friendship outside of work. As leaders it's our job to build that Soldier up for the rank, if we don't we are not only failing that Soldier but the future of our Army. Toxic leadership doesn't just start overnight it's years of not receiving that outstanding leadership that we are suppose to be providing.

SSG (Join to see) I think you hit the nail on the head, and that is probably the case across the board. We need to make sure that we are training our replacements.

How about we look at toxic leadership? It exists, and has a profound effect on everyone down the CoC. When I refer to toxic leadership, I am talking about ALL levels. Soldiers need to be accountable as well, strive to become part of the solution and not part of the problem.
