The only time I ever observed the leaves turn happened on a road trip to Leavenworth, Washington in October.

Hands down, Smuggler’s Notch in Vermont ! CPT (Join to see)

The last time ‘we’ were there, my wife turned around three times before deciding on which view to photograph.

When asked about the best time to see the Fall Foilage in VT, my mother-in-law said, “Chuck, I have lived in VT for my entire life and I cannot tell you that. It varies every year”!

CPT (Join to see) Mother-in-law Ruthie was Cool! As a widow, she would ‘visit’ each of her five children and grandchildren - for six weeks or so.

No sweat, Ruthie never said anything about the other children’s lives, successes or problems.

Ruthie could be in the car in less than 5 minutes if I said we were going someplace!

I strive to treat my ‘family’ as Rruthie treated us.

I do not question my sons or their children re: anything! The answers will appear, w/o my asking, if they wish! I support them and praise them as I can.

Blue Ridge Parkway and the Smokey Mountains are about the best I've ever seen. Usally around the first to middle of October is the best time.

I might be slightly biased since I live there though.... lol

CPT (Join to see) - Come on down sir! First round is on me.

BTW - Lookout Mtn is near Chattanooga. Lots of interesting sights there year-round.
