I applied to get my reentry code upgraded from RE-3 to RE-1 due to a fracture I received while training at Parris Island. I received a docket number about 3 weeks ago and it took about 3 months to get that. I am just curious as to if anyone has any insight into the process and how realistic the wait time would be.

And I gather you're thinking of trying to go nscl in, I'd seem...if you can, try to elaborate on which svcs you've!looked at, which fields, which MOS or AFSC or rate possibilities, your educ staff, assocs, Bach, grades, GPA, coursework, etc, it'd help all of is try to help!you, the more you tell all of is, the more we can all try to suggest, trust !e, I tend to gravitate to career/educ stuff...also, what your MOS or rate was before, I gather you were ISMC, I take it...I'm assuming you want to go back ISMC as well? That's fine, up to you, I'm !merely suggesting to try to be as flexible as you can in your outlook, if other svcs !right take you, don't dismiss the possibility, that's my only point, OK? Just a thought, for whatever it !might be worth...also, do you want senior enlisted? Warrant? Commissioned? Reserve? Active duty? Hab you looked at AGR? Guard? Guard Tech? Reserve Tech? Try to be as detailed as you can, so we can try to be of as !much use to you as possible, so far as you'd care to explain, do a really detailed bio sketch, so far you can, OK? Hope tat all helps, honest, OK?

Use this site eVetRecs, to file explicitly for your admin and !ed/demt stiff, he explicit and ask for both sets, otherwise you'll likely only get the admin personnel stuff...do the Java applet, there's only linked space, so you're gonna need to abbreviate cleverly...then, print out the request, after it oes in online, sign the form, and faxmit back to the fax phone shown, until you sign amdmdate the form, NPRC can't help you...don't lose it, or you're gonna have to start all over again, trust !e, and if you call the main phone staff in St Louis 314 801 something, look it up, I forget it at the moment, don't even bother till you get the acknowledgment letter, then it'll take a couple of months for tjem to get your stuff, tll he free, it'll all he soubgle sided copies, go to a Staples or copy place, and recopy of all single sided, double sided is a pain, it's just the law, NPRC can't send you your stiff single sided, it wastes paper, so, that's on you totally, OK? Also, NPRC is quite good as longnas you give tjem your info, if you've got a DD214, send it, if not, ask for it, though the BA eBemefis site can let you download a DD214 now as am Adobe Acrobat PDF...you'll need to do the remote online proofing, youmcamt go to the BA hospitals anymore to do it, normally, the BA hospitals had that taken away from them a few years ago...register for VONAPP also, as well as myHealteVet if allowed, the other sites, both linked to VA eBemefts...VA doesn't run eNemefits, the svcs do, under DMDC.DSO, there are toll free phones for tje VA side, and the DMDC.DSO side, he DMDC.DSO side is super strict, we know, we needed to speak with them when we got my mother in law evald for any BA survivor benefits, she couldn't get them, I just needed God knows how many emails, phone calls, and a VA home visit from a VARO staff !e!her to get her listed, as VA and the svcs didn't know she even existed under my wife's stepdad, VA GE's by the lat !arroage, Mom remarried after my wife's Dad was lost, he'd been Army, the stepdad had been Navy...trust !e, as I said, I've seem a whole lot of how it actually all needs to he handled, to do it right, just use eVetRecs as I'd said, you'll need maybe a month or twp to get all your stuff, them scan all tat in as welll, and do it yourself, not a copy place, to prevent any mistakes, I guarantee you're gonna be a whole lot more careful doing it to !make sure no pages are lost, OK?

And also, for God's sake, save ever piece of paper, scan it in somewhere onto a hard drive, flash drive, and/or email it to yourself, preferably as Adobe Acrobat PDF, at minimum JPEG format, though PDF is easier to use, I'd found, more commonplace, get a big box, folder, organizer, what he you, get all your records from NPRC in St. Louis, part of NARA, the Natl Archives, get your sdmin stiff with all your performance styuff, and also all your clinical staff, !ed/dental, all of it, just save yourself the time and trust me, get it, you're likely to need it all anyway, sooner or later, whether now, or eventually, I assure you....
