What is the wait limit for promotion from PFC to SPC?

So I came from the army reserves a month ago. I have time in service requirement. My date of rank for PFC was 20180215. My question is when will I likely see SPC. I am also curious how transferring to active duty do I get credit for time in service and grade for the time I was in the reserves?

It's 1 year TIG, not 6 months. You can find it in AR 600-8-19. As for your DOR, you came from the USAR so you will keep your current DOR. You can find that in AR 600-20 Army Command Policy under the section called enlisted date of rank. Often the DOR gets reset to the day you joined the AD. That can be corrected at your S1 as long as your DIEMS is correct.

You are getting paid (getting credit) for the number of years you were in the Guard/Reserves. As your Date of Rank was recalculated to what you have now, you will have to meet the TIG (24 months) requirements to advance to SPC unless you get a waiver for early advancement.

So I was demoted back to an E2 long ago and was told I shouldn't have been demoted. So technically I have TIG AND TIS as a PFC. It's not something I like to admit. I was in the national guard for 4 years then got out and went into the IRR for 3 years. Then I got back in the reserves for 1 year and just went active duty last month

I am now stationed at fort Campbell and no one really knows what to do with my reserve time.

SPC(P) (Join to see) - I completely understand your situation. Be that as it may, what your DOR has been recalculated to is what your DOR is now at. There is no getting around that. You certainly meet the TIS requirements, but you are now back to having to meet TIG all over again. I know this from personal experience. I started off in the Reserves in '93 and made SPC in '95. Went Active Duty a year later and my DOR was recalculated so I had to start all over again with TIG. My TIS for pay was already calculated by Big Army Finance. So, I was brand new to Active Duty, back to square one with SPC DOR, but getting paid for 3 yrs. Come '03, I got out and came back in the Reserves in '08. Guess what, my DOR was recalculated again. So, back to square one with SPC time in grade. When you get your LES come payday, look at the Years of Service in the upper right hand area, and that will show you how many years you are getting paid for. It sucks. It really does. But the brass tacks of it all is that you will have to meet the TIG requirements unless someone wants to grant you a waiver....but there are requirements for that as well. Which is 3 months TIG and 18 months TIS.

So my date of rank was 20180215. Now correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it 6 months TIG without a waiver?

Talk with your Team Leader and ask them to push up an RFI (Request For Information) to your BN S1 to see if they are tracking that you are eligible for advancement to SPC based on the facts at hand. You have the TIG and as long as your LES states you have 2 yrs or more of service, plus being GREEN across the board (APFT, etc.) then yes you should be eligible as of last month.
