It depends on where you're coming from and what MOS you are training into. Most of the active duty tech candidates coming from CONUS will get a TDY and return if theres a gap between WOCS and WOBC or TDY en route if there isn't a time gap. That all depends on how the dates line up and how their losing unit processes them. OCONUS techs will get more than likely a TDY en route regardless. And as it has already been mentioned, you'll only be PCS'd there if you are attending WOBC there as well, or if you came from a sister service.

SFC Boom Chick Did they adjust your DEROS to match your school date? All i can do is speculate. From the way I see it, and I could be wrong, there is no guarantee that you will pass WOCS, so it's a gamble to prematurely PCS you and your family. If you wash out, you resume your enlisted career. I would imagine that they would stay in Okinawa for the duration of WOCS and possibly WOBC depending on the timelines between classes and subsequently whether or not WOBC will be a TDY en route, or TDY and return. I would see if you get an RFO when you get your class date. If you do as I did, and many others have, it should detail HRC's intention as to how they will move you. If you have any specific questions, I'd contact the assignment manager for specific questions. Just remember, use that resource sparingly as they are busy folks.

From what I have seen in the past, PCS for Active Component, TDY for Guard/Reserve. But with exceptions.
