I've been curious about other peoples opinions on some of GM'S recent decisions. I.E. 19 Silverado body and styling, 19 mid engine Corvette, and the recent resurrection of the Blazer and (possible) Chevelle.

The mid engine Corvette will bring it into true super car status, IMO. The Camaro looks worse, so I bought the 2018 instead of waiting. I doubt that the Chevelle will come back though. I'd love to see it.

I would love to see the chevelle come back as well, but they need to try and incorporate a classic look while still keeping some updated features

TSgt David L. Some of the concepts dont look too bad. But my thing is, I dont want what happened to the dart and the Impala, to happen to the Chevelle. It's a classic muscle car that got modernized, and they tore out half of the cylinders.

After the 1996 Impala they went way down hill. I know they had had a V8 police package in 13 or so but it never looked the same. I have a 96 which had a decent horsepower Vette motor.

Never was a Chevy fan but I can appreciate when they do something right. I have often wondered why Cadillac (and Lincoln too) never were able to design a truly beautiful luxury car. Definitely not a fan of the square Cadillacs of recent years although the new Lincoln Continental may qualify. A Corvette "super car". Go for it. See me in about fifty years when they might actually master the design requirements. (Their foray into rear engine never worked) Although I will give them kudos for recent Corvette body styling. If they bring back the Blazer, I pray that they leave the porpoising behind. It was the only automobile that ever made me car sick.

The Corvette already puts up supercar numbers, and stats. Better than most supercars that are ever actually tested on tracks. For all intents and purposes it is a supercar on the track. Just not a supercar when parked on the side of the road, since everyone knows they are inexpensive compared to known supercars. It's like a status thing when most people consider a car a "supercar." Like a "my car cost more than you're whole house and yearly salary" kind of a thing. At least in my opinion.

SSG (Join to see) - That's a fair assessment. But I've driven better. The original Shelby AC Cobra for example (not the Mustang Cobras), an almost anything else built on an AC frame. I was given the opportunity to purchase an AC Bristol just before enlisting into the Army but couldn't afford to have it de-tuned for street use. With an in line 6, the Corvette could beat it in a quarter mile (by a little), but would leave the Corvette in the dust at the first bend in the road

CPT Jack Durish Corvette might've been lacking in the handling department in its first generation, but ever since the C2 (Grand Sports specifically) they've been top notch in an American cars, and now top notch in the world.

SSG (Join to see) I can agree with that. I do like the fact that it is a fairly inexpensive car for the capability. And with me working as a tech at a GM dealer, I see the quite frequently, so they are not really that rare of a car for me to see. But again it does, like you said, put up super car numbers.

I just hope they can figure out how to get the running lights to not burn out on their full size trucks and SUVs. I've heard a lot of reasons why it happens but it should be an easy fix.

I haven't really seen alot of issues with running lights burning out on the trucks and suv's. I've seen some issues with the new body Traverse wirh water/moisture getting in the tail lamps, but that's about it.
