Thinking about reclassing, but can I come back to the line whenever I choose so in the future?

I'm an 11B and I feel like it's time for a change in my career, so I can actually have time to focus with college. I plan to reclass and wonder if it is possible to come back to the line whenever, IF I choose to do so?

It sounds like you're not looking for a permanent change of jobs, just a temporary change of scenery that will allow you pursue education. I would say take a look at broadening assignments. Most are 36 months that would allow you to do something different, and pursue college if you want. I was a recruiter, and I can tell you honestly, its worth looking at in your situation. I recruited from 2008-2011 and have been back on the line ever since. I already have a degree, but I had a ton of time to work towards more if I had wanted to. Don't believe everything you've heard about an assignment like that and talk to some people who actually did it, then came back to the line. I think it will give you some other options to consider.

No, you can't come back just because you want to. Reclass is based on the strengths of the MOS. If you're looking for a break from the line, go to recruiting for a while. Right now your branch is taking E5s with only 1 year on station.
The ideal Army career model has Soldiers moving back and forth between the line and TDA assignments. I suggest you get your tab and take an assignment as an RI for a few years. I was able to knock out a lot of college on my off days working in Ranger School.

Great advice to SGT Mark Owczarzak, SFC Jason Boyd. The anticipated changes in the military from unit corrections to the new APFT test will undergo some scrutiny. Maybe, they will be begging him to come back to fill the ranks?

MAJ Rene De La Rosa the only thing is that to move from his currently understrength MOS to another, it would need to be more understrength. The chance of the his current MOS becoming even more understrength than the one he moves into would be very minimal. Especially since his MOS is balanced at E6 and above.
