My wife took the test using my ID and her DOD number. The certificate still shows my name. Is this still valid?

Also our driver's license expire in 2020 and 2019 do we ned to renew them prior to us leaving in November?

1st Concern: If she took the test with YOUR ID and YOUR DOD #, and the cert says your name....then no it's not valid for her.

2nd Concern: Check with your State of Issue for your US Driver's License. Many states have laws that dictate that as long as you are on Active Duty, your license will not expire. As such, since you are leaving back to the States next month, and y'all still have time to renew them....just wait til you get back to the States.

SSG(P) Thomas Livingston, this is not necessarily true. I am from Texas, where they say your license can be expired. Oh, by the way, you have to check with the state to issue a piece of paper acknowledging this that you now staple to your expired license. Trust me, young SPC Ricardo Cab will need to renew his license before he goes across the pond.

The MPs or gate guards will pull your license and make someone else drive.

MAJ Rene De La Rosa - Roger, Sir. As I said, some states. Nebraska, I know, was one of them. Each State, I know, all have different rules.

Thank you! My home of record is FL but I have been 3 years in FT Bliss so I will contact them tomorrow to check!

My sponsor was the one who told me about the JKO test and you click depenant and they type in their ID number but when she finished it showed my name so I have no clue if it's correct. I'm so confused lol

I would renew ASAP. You don’t want to be enjoying a fun family trip in Austria and find out they don’t recognize your state’s convention that the license doesn’t expire if you’re on active duty. You may not be able to get an international driver license if yours expires. This is separate from a USAREUR license for which you took the test.
