With military life and immediate family too, do you find it difficult to keep current on your Haitian-Creole?

Throughout my 9 years in service, I've witnessed that my ability to speak creole is slowly disappearing. Is anyone else having the same issue? If so, what are your thoughts?

I speak to my parents on a weekly basis but it still takes me a while to remember certain words

I used my family to keep me current, luckily the all can speak it (parents, siblings, wife and kids). I also listen to Haitian music on my way from work, and watch Haitian videos on YouTube when time allows.
