Does anyone know someone who currently reenlisted after receiving a chapter 14-12c?

14-12c is MAJOR misconduct. This is DUI/ Sexual Assault territory here. Sincerely doubt it, and one should hope not...

CPL(P) (Anonymous) - The characterization of discharge would seem to disagree. He did something pretty serious to have multiple levels of commanders and JAG give him the boot under that subsection... I suspect there's more to the story.

SFC Michael Hasbun I have all paperwork stating that what I'm saying is true. Everything that I had done is in writing and in my possession. I can easily prove I am not sugar coating my self or my discharge..

civilian authorities or a pattern of conduct prejudicial to good order and discipline. (paragraph 14-12b); or. (3) The soldier commits a single act of "serious misconduct" (paragraph 14-12c) "serious misconduct" is an offense which could be punished by a punitive discharge under the UCMJ. 2.

So what was the serious offense according to the type of discharge you could’ve spent time in confinement also with this type of discharge your RE Code would be a 4 which means permanent disqualification for Military Service

As posted by another member, waiverable, but whether it would be waivers is a question for a Recruiter.

Don’t want to come across as an asshole but, what did you do to get discharged for misconduct and what made you change you mind about staying in the army? RE-3 isn’t impossible to get a wavier but you have to show the full bird colonel who signs off on the wavier you won’t be a bad apple so to speak.

Scott Hitchcock hmm, I’m not sure if you’ll be able to get a wavier for that, granted I’m not a recruiter. All I can say is when you get time or completely out of the army. Which I believe you are not sure just go to a recruiter with your discharge packet and see what they can do. Best of luck
