Assignment after Recruting School?

I got DA selected to do recruting school (by asking my branch manager) and go to school in March. How does the assignment process work? I know we get them in school but I havent been able to find any up to date information on this. Ideally I would be able to number my top choices buy is that still only for those that submitted a volunteer packet?

DA select tends to be at needs of USAREC. Try calling the BN or BDE CSM of where you want to go, introduce yourself and try to get a letter of acceptance.
