i filed last year september 2018 my migraines were rated service connected but at 0%. my other issues were deferred until June of this year. It was finally approved the month. will i receive back pay from the initial claim file date or the deferrement

you should receive retroactive pay from the date of the initial claim. did you file a notice of disagreement when you first got the 0% rating?

no i didn't on the letter they sent in the mail it stated i need more evidence to appeal.

PO2 Shan Jennings - file a claim only for an increase in your migraines. make sure you see a neurologist at the VA and maybe a civilian doc. keep a log of how often you get them, how severe they are, how long they last, and if they are debilitating. in order to get more than 0%, they have to be debilitating.
