To me it means I am a "perfectionist"! I strive to be perfect in everything I do. Although knowing I will never be perfect, it is a goal I hold to this day! Do the BEST you can in EVERYTHING you do!

PO1 William Bargar, I can sympathize with what you wrote here. I used to feel the need to strive for perfection, but now I'm back where I think I should be: striving to be all that I can be (catchy slogan, eh?). I don't have to be perfect. I allow myself to make mistakes. I try to learn from the mistakes I make and the mistakes I see. And through it all, I am, and I am becoming, the best I can be.

This morning in church our speaker mentioned Paul's wise guidance to the Philippians. I think it's appropriate here:

"Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."

Great advice, I'd say. Forget what is behind and press on toward the goal.

I went through a bad divorce and assumed $250,000 in debt 15 years ago. My current wife and I have been chipping at it for such a long time that it seems like we will never get a good credit score.
