I served in the National Guard for six years and ETD’d in August as a Specialist with 4 years Active duty time (towards retirement) . Now I’m Active duty Army since October, my ERB is all messed up but I did paperwork a few weeks ago to fix the dates on there.

My LES is reflecting me as an E-4, but with 00 years in service. Once this is all cleared up will I get paid for 4 years in service or over 6?

Your NG time counts for pay. Your active time counts for retirement. Once your PEBD is fixed, you should receive back pay for the period you were receiving pay for 0 years. MEPS is infamous for messing that up for prior service

The PEBD isn’t hard to calculate, especially with minimal break in service. The MEPS itself might jack something up but in the liaison office we use a calculator that makes it super easy.

SFC (Join to see) it's very easy to calculate. With no break in service, there's no even a need to calculate. Somehow the MEPS always manages to reset the BASD, PEBD and DIEMS to the date they entered active duty. Then it can take months for finance to fix it.

SPC (Join to see) I went from RC to RC AGR and on the pay scale it continued as normal, but for retirement purposes I have two tracks: RC retirement continues to go by my YIS while my active retirement had my RC time condensed to fit active time to establish an active retirement timeline. So I will 2 plus years more after my RC retirement to get an active retirement.

Typically the attorneys or vet group reps here do mainly VA disability stuff we used them for my stuff the thing is they might know mil admin lawyers by you as colleagues or check law school vet law clinics by you I may have said that already the thing is such clinics don’t always take everybody it’s up to the faculty advisors supervising the law students....
