Hi,
I am trying to get clarification on Grade Authorized and Duty MOS section in DA Form 4651. I am transferring my unit and got DA 4651 from my unit today to sign it. My current grade and MOS is E-4 and 92F (Petroleum Supply Specialist) respectively but in 4651 authorized grade is mentioned as E-3 and MOS is 92F1O(Pet. Heavy Vehicle Operator). Does this mean I got demoted to E-3? I will call my unit tomorrow morning to get clarification on it but I thought of posting it here if I can get any answers today itself.
Thank you in advance!!

It use to be you could work 2 levels up or 1 level down in your duty position.

No, you didn't all of a sudden get demoted without knowing about it. All that means is that the position you are slotted in is an E3 position. When I served as an instructor, my duty MOS was 25B38, while I was a SGT. All this gobbledygook means is I was serving in a slot for a SSG while a SGT. Same with your duty MOS. You can serve in a slot that doesn't exactly match with your MOS and grade depending on the needs of the unit. I spent my time in S1 (hold the vitriol, please, I'm still looking for your leave form) and moved people around in different slots to make room for others.
