I read the articles which written about the new Army body armor. Does Active duty already using the new body armor(IOTV)? or still using the old one? I'm currently in the reserve, but we are still using the old one which is heavy.

IOTV is new? It was new when I deployed in 2007. If you deploy you will get new body armor issued to you. You simply have old armor for training. Don't worry, they're all heavy.

You're going to have to be more specific with which IOTV you are referring to. The newest armor being issued is called the MSV, Modular Scaleable Vest. It has three tiers of protection. They are still working on extra add ons to increase covered body area.

I was issued an IOTV when I arrived to Ft. Bliss back in 2012.
