So I am in running into some issues and would like some feed back or information on what I can do. I was active duty for about 6 years and signed a national guard contract just before I got out to become a 13f (firefighter). My recruiter reserved my slot in the system and even called the state representative to ensure the slot was available. Months down the line I finally get in contact with my unit administrator and he says my slot is filled already and he has no idea how but he has to figure a way to release me. Then the unit administrator says I have two options which are get demoted in rank and pay just to stay there or go back to my old MOS. So I declined both and have not been to drill once since my contract started in October. So I figured out my self I got with an Air national guard recruiter and they had firefighter and a lot closer to my residence so back in November I submitted a DD368 and have not heard from this administrator since then after multiple attempts to contact him. My question is how can this even happen and why can’t my 368 be expedited? What can I even do to expedite it or go further since the one unit administrator is not helping me?

I'm having the same problem. Did you make any progress? I don't understand why these lazy weekend warriors can't do their jobs.

Yes sir I finally made progress after contacting many different people I contacted IG and legal services and I believe legal knew the right contacts and helped get my 368 expedited. Ended up taking about 5 months

Glad to hear. I myself had to go to IG after my S1 and BN XO ghosted me. Just now (after 8 months from trying to start this process) my packet is at BDE. “Only” a few more levels to go. I consistently hound each UA at the level the packet is at so they have no excuse and I will have evidence in the case I have to do a congressional.

Good luck with it hope the best. Definitely is a struggle. The UA was telling me to basically deal with a longer process because the packet had to be signed by a Two star but it didn’t have to and some major signed with a memorandum that basically was signing in place of a general
