When you view a thread, it defaults to most votes and you can manually select newest/oldest/most votes, its there an option to change your universally select one of those options?

Frankly, I don't care which post have the most votes, I want to see the post that have occurred since the last time I viewed the thread.

My default seems to be "Recent," TSgt Joshua Copeland. Even though it says "Trending" on the top right, next to "Discussions," I think that means switch to "Trending." I say that because trending discussions (on the right) display when I click on the word "Trending" and it changes to "Recent."

That sounds confusing, even to me. Bottom line is that I'm seeing the most recently commented on discussions when RP opens. If I want to see trending discussions, I click on "Trending" and that's what I get.

Sorry, you're talking about threads!! Holy cow. In that case, I do not know a way to make it the default, but I do agree with you. I'm mostly interested in the newest posts under a discussion thread.

CW5 (Join to see), yep threads is where I am talking about. If something has 25 thumbs up, odds are, I have already seen it! Occasionally, I will use the oldest sort because someone will link an old thread, but the "votes" sort is basically useless to me.

I guess it requires the minor inconvenience of clicking that drop-down menu ... at least until (/if) they add the option to change that preference globally and permanently.

Happy to add it to our list. We're continuously pulled between "new user" features (helping people discover RallyPoint) and "power user" features.
