I just have a few questions that I can't seem to find on google.

How much water will I be able to drink during the day at basic? I tend to be super hydrated right now and my body's standards have raised.

Will I be able to drink during a long ruck march?

Thanks, that's about it.

You will be able to drink as much water as possible. However, I caution you on drinking too much water as you could suffer water toxemia. It takes about 6 liters of water to kill a 165-pound person. Don't be that person.

I would think that would depend on where you where, what you were doing and both the humidity and a temperature. 6 liters of water is heat stroke time at NTC in June, July and August if have to be out in the day.

Unfortunately I'm going to be at basic in the height of the summer. June, July, August.

Depending on where you are and the time of year, the DS's might make you do some "forced hydration." Don't worry, this isn't water boarding. They basically just call a formation and have everyone drink a full canteen a few times a day to make sure everyone is getting enough liquids. And you will always have water with you to drink when you need it.

Ryan Kollar as SSG Carlos Madden said, you'll be "invited" to drink water often and in quantity. It's important to eat properly, which will also be forced on you unless you're one of those people who take forever to eat. It's a relationship between the water intake, water loss, getting nutrients and electrolytes to replace what is lost. There is a suggested water intake depending on weather and work intensity.

You will have a water source on your person just about 24/7. Water will be available every where you go. The water toxemia only happens if you are drinking it all at once. You'll be drinking continuously through out the day.

Ryan Kollar NBD. I was in FLW from early June to early Sept. You’ll be fine. Trust me when I say it’ll be the best summer of your life.

No one wants their trainees to get sick or fall out. They will make water and food available as appropriate
