What is the best way to go about reclassifying in the Reserves?

My unit and MOS are going away for good. I have the option to reclass and have chosen a new MOS I would like to get into. I've asked for vacancies but have no contact information for these units. Is this info available on HRC? What else can I do to get what I want out of the reserves?

Your unit's Retention NCO/Career Counselor has access to the information you are looking for. It is very difficult for individual Soldiers to get the updated info for units, and almost impossible to get vacancy information. If your Retention NCO is unable or unwilling to assist you, some Army Recruiters have access to the information as well. Before I found this much out, I used FB and messaged units to get the information I was looking for when I had to switch MOS (twice).

When I moved to reserves my most was not a reserve mos. On my new contract I was offered Mos that was available with units in my area. If I wanted a different one I would have been assigned to a unit that would have required a hotel stay. Check with a reserve recuriter to see what is in need and where you fit
