If someone is in the 75th and completes their initial contract as say an 11B, then can the individual switch their MOS to 12B at the time of their reenlistment and still remain in the regiment?

Yes, of course. Having a ranger reclass is better than losing one. Also if a ranger is in an overstrength mos he might be able to reclass to an understrength mos before his initial contract is up. I've seen both more than a few times.

So would infantry be considered over strength where as engineer would be considered under strength?

Probably. Most of the people who go through rasp are 11b. But there's no guarantee.

There is no guarantee but, it can be done, pending the over & under. I went in as an 11B after Jump School & Re classed as an 11C after my first 5 years yet, was able to stay in my Regiment. Although this was in the late 80's & early 90's before I got out after "Desert Storm" ; I don't see why you can't try it now........

Yes as long as the unit funds the Reclass. Of course, you won't be allowed to reclass if there isn't a need for the MOS.
