Is there an Army Regulation that explicitly talks about weapons handling and associated safety concerns therein?

A Soldier in my Platoon was using their weapon as a means to clamber atop a vehicle much the same way one would use a cane. I'm searching for an AR that would specifically cover such gross safety issue. I'm coming up with nothing. Does anyone know where this would be covered with doctrine?

Yes, it is a common sense thing. Luckily, unlike "don't give your new stripper girlfriend your bank account info or a general power of attorney", this common sense thing is covered in a book:
TC 3-22.9
Chapter 1
SAFE WEAPONS HANDLING
RULES OF FIREARMS SAFETY 1-6.
Rule 1: Treat Every Weapon as if it is Loaded
And you could probably apply some generalized statements from AR 385-10.

Don't know about a regulation, but you could see it he could be busted for possible destruction of government property or if he does ruin the weapon, made to pay for the repairs of said weapon.
