If a vbied hits the truck in front your truck, does this qualify you for a CAB?

Depends on the size of the VBIED, pounds of explosive, composition of any secondary effects (nails, bolts, bearings, chains as shrapnel), convoy spacing and blast radius. Generally speaking those were the things we templated in a diagram attached to the recommendation to help justify the award of the badge (4ID was strict on the standard for award)... If you were in close march order I'd probably have pushed the recommendation.

SGT (Join to see) I would forward that CAB recommendation for approval. It really depends on the Brigade Commander who is the delegated approval authority unless it is retroactive.
