Hello,

I am currently trying to deploy but am on a 30 day temporary profile. My PULHES is still 111111, but have a DLC (DL1) on MEDPROS due to a profile over 14 days.

My first question is, would this profile prevent me from deploying as is? And second, if the profile will become under 14 days within 2 days, will that deployment limiting code go away? Or would it still stand as it was technically a profile over 30 days?

My injury is healed, I am just worried about not being able to have the profile lifted in time.

Thanks!

SPC Watson, I believe you're likely deploying through "go deploy" correct? I work with them, and typically, even if it's considered a DLC, they could still send you. Most times they try to send people who are 100% cleared to go, but it would be best if you go speak with them directly.

DLC is deployment limiting condition. By definition, it limits deployment. BUT.... and this is a HUGE but, at the end of the day, the Commander makes the call. If the Commander feels (usually making the decision with medical staff input) that you are good to go, (s)he can take you along, even with a DLC. If the Commander feels you are NOT good to go, (s)he can leave you behind even with no DLC. Talk to your readiness NCO and get the scoop as to when the call will be made, and what your official status will be when that call is made. If it is still a concern, go THROUGH YOUR NCO Channel and CoC to plead your case. But it will still be up to the Commander.

Remember, that the Commander has an unbelievably high amount of both authority and responsibility. There is very little that the Commander cannot do in regards to a Soldier's situation - whatever that situation is. And that little bit that the Commander can't do, well, a higher echelon Commander CAN.

Bud, its in the hands for the Medical staff. Whether you deploy or not is in their hands.
