I know when I was in when the drew the latitude and longitude lines on the face of the earth.     But,  who has qualified on this weapon and/or the 38?

Carried an M16A2 on the most recent deployment to Afghanistan, qualified Sharpshooter with it.

I qualified Expert on the M16, 1911, and Beretta, and qualified with the riot shotgun in A school and maintained quals every 6 months for years. The M16 was fun to shoot, but not a practical weapon for most CG missions. The most interesting thing I ever shot was an old Springfield .30 calibre smooth bore line throwing gun. The breech exploded, but I wasn't injured. I might have been the last person to ever fire one of those antique things. My records show I qualified Expert with the Sig, but I have never even had one in my hands. I think an O needed a 100% qualification of personnel and that's how it ended up on my records. (The CG carrys Sigs for CONUS LE mission now.)

Larry, I qualified as an EXPERT on the M16 and the 38 and marksman on the 45.  The 9mm was just coming in when I went back to the regular Air Force and I didn't have the pleasure of qualifying on it.
