I asked this question about six months ago but I was wondering if anyone has heard different? There are six events and I was still wondering if if you fail one event then you fail the whole test or are they going on a point sustem or something similar? For example the acft is gonna be 6 events so that’s a 600 pt Max. if you score 400 points in 4 or 5 events do you have to do the last two events or has anyone heard anything different? I may be going on permanent profile because a foot condition I was born with has caught up to me so it’s a good chance I will fail the run.

So just got certified as a lvl 2 acft instructor. If anyone wants all the new latest and greatest information I can email that to them.

But yes if you fail one event you fail the test it is no different then the APFT its like saying well I passed the push ups and sit ups but I failed the run or tape test that means you have still failed the test.
At first I thought it would be horrible but it is absolutely better than the APFT. The run actually seemed a lot better since your body was already worked up before hand.

Last I heard, they're still going through legalities through JAG because of what you mentioned.
FYSA: Every time there is a new policy or regulation, it has to go through the JAG Corps. Extensive researches, EOs, liabilities, etc... Just like when a Commander puts out a new policy or MFRs (Memorandum For Record), it has to go through Legal to get approved.

That's what I heard when I was at school at Fort Eustis (where they are testing this new abomination) My guess is that it will be scrapped if there is no consideration for those with pre-existing permanent profiles that limit certain physical activities that are tested.

Needs alternative events. Seems like they are too lazy to do that.

Yup! However, I am not sure if they are making it Male and Female standards or just one full single standard across the board. I think that is what is part of the issue too because now we have females in Combat Arms. Not saying they can't, just talking about the scoring system and such.

They are still gathering data on it. They'll use the data to adjust the standards and establish policies for the test. For example, if most females can't do a single leg tuck, it wouldn't make sense to fail every person who can't do a leg tuck because you'll lose a significant amount of the force

SFC(P) (Join to see) that's how the pushups were when I took it. It makes no sense because it's supposed to measure your upper body strength. Instead it's just a strictly tricep pushup, which doesn't measure much of your upper body at all. That was my biggest gripe about the test other than 2 miles just seems unnecessarily far for a combat test.

SFC (Join to see) oh I agree my tricep was burnt after 30. When we had to pitch it this is what we had to say “Purpose and Tactical Significance:
The HRP tests a Soldier’s ability to push an opponent away during hand to hand combat, push a disabled vehicle, and assist a Soldier when getting up from the prone position during individual movement techniques” we’ll sure we push vehicles a lot don’t we hahahahaha

SFC(P) (Join to see) oh, I understand the reasoning lol. I don't disagree with the pushing or the pushups. I disagree that it's a Tricep pushup. Everything else is a multi plane, compound movement, except this one exercise that's conducted in such a way as to make it an ineffective measure of anything useful.

CPT Michael Barden I didn't have a problem with it because I switched out sit ups for toes to bar years ago since it was easier on my lower back. But most of the people I saw doing it couldn't hold on for more than 5 reps. I myself only hit nine.
