My daughter will (hopefully) be NREMT certified before leaving for basic and 68W (medic) AIT. I know that she should be able to fast-track through AIT, but is the accelerated promotion to E4 still in effect? And what would the recruiter need to get the rank if allowed? I found some information on Army-portal.com but it's a bit outdated. Resources would be awesome! Thank you!

They are still fast tracked through the EMT portion but I don't know about any promotions for 68W. I know that it's common in other MOSs under ACASP

It's listed on the army site as a ACASP MOS but doesn't give any real specifics on promotions or anything. I contacted her recruiter to also look into it.

SPC Richard Ferguson yes it is listed under ACASP because there can be an ACASP bonus. But it doesn't say anything about promotion for 68w and I don't remember the NREMT holding students in my class getting promoted from it

SFC (Join to see) if an individual initially enlists under said program they are promoted to E4 regardless if they have a degree or not

Just signed my contract through CASP for 68W. She’ll come in as a SPC and get 10 weeks in AIT as opposed to 16, though no sign on bonus since we’re currently not in demand.

As for requirements, the recruiter will need her active NREMT certification and her CPR through AHA

I was under the impression that there was a set $5000 bonus for enlisting with CASP.

Anthony Chan Negative, that’s still MOS dependent. The Army has a list online of jobs in demand, but for 68W regardless of CASP there is currently no enlistment bonus.

SPC Brionna V. that’s general army benefits. My state offers $20k for 68W right now. NG has state by state top 10 lists for MOSs that offer the non-prior service enlistment bonus. 68W is still very much eligible for a bonus in Wyoming. Most likely in many other states as well.

If she already enlisted no. If she enlists under ACASP then yes.
