Have you ever been the non-deployed spouse? How do you cope?

My wife and I were married in November, and she left today to go to the sandbox as a veterinarian contractor for State. It's hard being on the non-deploying end of the deployment.

My boyfriend said the same thing. He was done four deployments and this is the first time he has been the one to stay home. It surely is a different feeling.
