Nephew wants to work and go to college. Recruiter said he will get a "General Discharge"

I'm the national guard once you sign the contract you're in the service. He'll get a general discharge and have to say "I almost joined once" basic training is only 10 weeks and ait is a little longer. Tell him to buck up and get the job done he signed up for.

I'm also NG and working full time and going to school full time.

You would think if he is going to college he would want the NG, they pay for in state tuition in most states etc.

We didn't get the correct answer here. Lot of people suggest call the recruiter. He is not wasting recuiter times, recruiters got paid to do his/her job. Send letter to command recuiter.
