Unfortunately, SBA's Patriot Express Loan Program is no longer available. However, there are other loan programs available to veterans and military spouses. Veterans Entrepreneurship Act of 2015 and Veteran Advantage Loan Program. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Before you start looking at loans, you might want to get in contact with your local SBA representative. (Link below) They might be able to point you in the direction of grants as well as give valuable feedback regarding your business plan, bootstrap strategies and more. It is important to have your ideas planned out clearly, market research statistics, presentation ready, and if you already have started a business, get all your paperwork ready. I just started working with them and it is invaluable.

For those who do not know what this loan pertains to, here is the basic information about it:

If you are looking for information on VA small business loans, it probably means you have served in the military or are part of the military community. If you have spent years taking orders from superior officers, the thought of being your own boss and becoming an entrepreneur might have a lot of appeal. The good news is that loans are available to help veterans start a new business or expand an existing business. Small business loans for veterans are not administered by the VA, however. The Patriot Express Small Business Loan program, which is run by the Small Business Administration, allows vets to get funding for their small businesses. If your post military plans or dreams involve starting a business or if you are a veteran in need of funding to aid the growth of a business you have already started, the Patriot Express Veterans Small Business Loan program may be your best bet.

The Patriot Express Loan Program

One option available exclusively to the military community is the Patriot Express Loan Program, offered through the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The Patriot Express initiative provides low-interest loans of up to $500,000 and ensures a quick turnaround in the lending process. Lending in the Patriot Express program grew 20 percent from fiscal year 2008 to fiscal year 2009, despite the current credit crisis.
