Is there a regulation or something that states a time frame for a DD368 to be signed or answers or anything ?

There are many discussions on RP about obtaining a conditional release with a DD368, use the search bar, You should also make note of who the actual approval authority is. SGM (Join to see) says, you'll have to keep after it.

You can read through the entire 600 series of regulations. Every personnel action states "should" be processed within 5 days, 2 weeks, monthly, timely manner or as soon as possible.
Almost none state "will be" or "must be".
You are waiting on a conditional release that has to go through your BN and BDE S1 to your RSC, so just keep asking every two weeks on the progress.
Ask your AGR and cc your CO and 1SG, (and your recruiter if this is for changing components) every time.

SGT(P) (Join to see) - To be realistic, once you turn the paperwork into you COC, assuming they are competent, they have no control over that paperwork at all once it is forwarded to the next higher level. Since the approval authority is the first General in your COC, or his designated representative, and this is a manpower loss for them, it doesn't get expedited in my experience. Also be aware that they can also deny that request if they chose. My experience with Guard to Active is a 5 to 6 month turn around as an average.

They have no control over how fast it gets through BN and BDE, but they should know exactly where it is today, and if it is spending longer than two weeks and each level of BN and BDE, they should be reaching out to them weekly.

They just aren’t giving me an answer, to any question I ask about it. I’m trying to use my chain of command as best I can. Also my company agr person is also handling BN stuff as well SGM (Join to see)

If you read the directions on the DD-368 (I believe the second page) it states the form should be signed by general level within 30 days of submittal. This does not usually happen though. Unless your command is the exception. I’d expect no earlier than a 3-6 month wait time after submittal and that is being generous, honestly. My release on the 6th month and it’s awaiting signature for G-1. I ask my training NCO for updates every 1-2 weeks to stay on top of it, which in return he asks higher up but it doesn’t speed it up.
When I started the process the information I read stated, “expect to wait at least 6 months, sometimes more” but I didn’t want to believe it took that long for a form to get signed, especially with the speed of email but it does. Hopefully it’s faster for you but manage your expectations. Best of luck to you.
