What is the best way to deal with an unresponsive Reporting Senior (RS) when it comes to getting your annual Fitness Report completed in the Marine Corps Reserve?

Everything you need is in the link to MCO. Late fitreps can trigger adverse fitreps on all Reporting Officials because of the importance to the MRO and promotion. HQMC keeps a profile on all Reporting Officials. Index A at the end lists MCO for all situations. Appendix L is a sample letter for your CO requesting your RS's action. If it is your current CO, your Senior Enlisted Advisor will get involved at your request. He should already be involved if he's doing his job. If they are unresponsive, go to the next higher SEA. I read later that you are not active. HQMC (MMSB) will help if you've exhausted all efforts. You're smarter than me at data so you should be able to get their contact info.

If your Annual Fitrep hasn't been done idk how someone higher hasn't noticed in the Battalion. I would go up the COC ASAP. It is your career. If it was me I would request Mast if I didn't have a response on a fitrep if it is pass due.

SSgt Troy Pilewski - That is a tuff one. I would get a hold of MCIRSA I dealt with them back in 06/07 while I was in the marine corps IRR. [login to see] can try that number. Mobcom was who use to deal with IRR but I think it isn't anymore. MARFORRES would be my next step if I was you if you cant get it settled. If not there should be a prior service recruiter in your area that deals with IRR marines who should be able to help you. I worked with one for a couple of months back in the day.

SSgt Troy Pilewski - When I left active duty in 2005 went IRR then joined two different reserve units it was a big culture shock lol.

SFC(P) (Join to see) I think that culture shock is an understatement. Because we had prior service we were expected to already know certain things. But I have found that the guidance and orders are slightly different for Active Duty and Reserve. I'm slowly but surely learning. Only have 6.5 years left to retire; although I wish it was an active retirement but I have a Fulltime Civilian Career now.
