What are the possible and the most likely consequences of not Attending the Annual Training after being listed on the group order ?

What are the consequences of not Attending the Annual Training after being on the group order ? Will I be discharged or will I have to pay back the bonus or drill pays ?
I have never had unsatisfactory participation and even maxed out the MUTAs in the past year.
I tried submitting the 4187 for excuses and explained to CoC (SL and PSG), but no success.
They keep saying battalion has not approved it. I thought unit commander was responsible for this. I also heard of the leaders initiating missing movement packet if failed to show up. Not sure what that involves.
Any thoughts or advice on this is much appreciated.

Missing movement, possibly UCMJ. Bre minimum you won't receive credit for it and this year won't count as a good year for retirement purposes. It's at the discretion of your commander.

SFC Jason Boyd, Since this annual training is not Title 10 active duty, I am not sure if UCMJ applies. Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks for your thought.

SPC(P) (Join to see) that's a misinterpretation. You're not subject to UCMJ off duty. While you're on duty as a reservist, you are still subject to UCMJ.

SPC(P) (Join to see) - You are Army Reserve and your AT Orders are Title 10, That makes you subject to UCMJ. Army National Guard would fall under Title 32, in most cases, and not subject to UCMJ. However, most States have a version of the UCMJ to cover the National Guard while they are on duty.
Yes, you could get discharged, they could actually court martial you if they had the urge. They normally don't, but you could easily pull an Field Grade Article 15. It also makes you a candidate for unsatisfactory participation, which means a discharge. If you took an enlistment bonus, you will have to pay back whatever portion of it according to the time you served. As an example, you have a 6 year enlistment and you just got that other half after year three, you would have to pay most of it back.

The unit commander is the authority for granting authorized absence or SUTA. In most cases that authority is pulled up to Battalion Commander for Annual Training.Failing to report to the first day or any one day of AT is grounds for an AWOL discharge.
If you were told your request was not approved, then you were responsible for reporting to AT. Your unit will send you an AWOL notification Letter of Instruction.
That letter instructs you to provide a valid excuse for your unauthorized absence. Your commander has the discretion to accept your excuse as valid and authorize the absence after the fact, or decide that it is not valid and proceed with either discharging you or transferring you to the IRR.

SGM Jeff Mccloud, in case I am excused after or transferred to IRR or discharged, do i have to repay the bonus as well ? Does this reflect as unsatisfactory participation irrespective of the MUTA points for the FY. I may have to find and read my enlistment contracts. Thanks for your thoughts.

If you are discharged you will pay back the bonus because the choices you made are the reason behind the discharge which won’t allow you to meet your contract obligation to keep the bonus....SPC(P) (Join to see)

you should never miss trainings..its great way to get in mind of seniors and show them that u r sincere ... as sincere as this..
