PCSing to Fort Sam Houston

All depends on the unit you get assigned to. But most units there are TDA type units.

SGT (Join to see) - Are you reclassing and staying or just reclassing? Most people reclassing, reclass and are assigned to whereever the Army needs them. Medics go anywhere. If staying at Ft Sam (Joint Base San Antonio) there is the hospital and Clinics you could end up at. Maybe even an Instructor position. Start networking when you get there.

SFC Michael D. - Roger SFC, My wife is reclassing also. we're in the MACP and her reclassification also counts as a PCS move due to the length. As of now I will be attending the 68W reclass course in Fort Indian Town Gap, which is 7 weeks. i will graduate before her, and everyone we have talked to has said that becasue we're in the MACP the'll send me there after I complete school as permanet party.

SGT (Join to see) - I think you'll like it here. Military city, plenty to do and see. San Antonio doesn't need a reason to party, they party for just about everything. Plenty of places to rent or buy. You'll need Guns, a pick up truck and a Harley. That's how we roll here. Good luck to you and the wife in the 68W course and safe travels.
