My brother decided to join the Marines and will be graduating boot camp in September. Would it be appropriate to wear my Blues to his graduation? I would not wear them to his family day but I figured it would be good for our parents to see us and my sister who is in the Navy in uniform together ( We have one more sibling and I hope she is smart enough to join the Air Force). Wish we had these pinks and greens already though.

Thanks everyone

Wear it up. Especially if your sister is there, so all three of you can take a pic in uniform.

My info might be dated, but my advice is, if this is an event that you could/would wear a suit to (as a civilian), then you may wear your dress blues. Personally, I would wear it. And, you don’t want your sister and the Navy to outshine you.

The better question is "why would you NOT wear your dress blues?". Graduation from initial entry training is an official military function. Dress uniforms would certainly be appropriate IMO. Just make sure you maintain your customs and courtesies as a ton of SNCOs and Officers are sure to be milling about.

Besides, having a picture of three siblings all in uniform together would make for an amazing image! Do it!
