What a great article and really shows a true American Hero. His speech at this event was just inspiring and really gives you a look into the type of man and Marine he is at heart. Makes me reflect on the times I was promoted or received some awards and let my Soldiers know it was because of their efforts and hard work that I could be a good leader. Salutes

That is a great speech, CSM Michael Lynch. Thanks for sharing it with us. Another true hero. It strikes me - based solely on the transcription of that speech - that he's a man of conviction and humility. For me, there's a difference when the hero is somewhat humble. That clearly appears to be the case here. Again, thanks for pointing us to this article.
