Anybody use NCI.edu or know someone who has? If so was it worth the money?

NCI is good. Having been stationed at Fort Campbell twice I know a lot of Soldier that have used it. Some have used it to gain promotions points and others have started with that intention then turn around and work on a degree through them.

I used NCI back in 2001 and it worked out well. The issue is I have every intention to earn a degree through them but I finally realized I didn't want to work on planes or helicopters when I retired from the military.

If you are looking at NCI from the promotion point standpoint I encourage you to look at other military colleges that will actually benefit you. I signed up with Excelsior college back in 2009 and I was blown away by the college credit they offered me towards a degree. Same as NCI but the best part is I was able to use that to work towards my degree. Now I am only 2 credits shy of my degree.

Plus when I joined Excelsior I was charged $75 (a lot cheaper than NCI) and got my start on a viable degree that will help me in the civilian world not just a huge chunk of money for a worthless piece of paper.

I have a few Soldiers I used to work with that have used it and have gotten mixed results, one swears by them and says it is the best thing he has ever come across for his needs, and the other complained about the red tape and that is wasn't worth the headaches for the savings.

So I would guess to say it is what each person makes of it and as with everything you will have different opinions and what works best for each individual.

Good luck.
