I am PCS'ing with a TDY-en-route. I will be attending the CISAC (35L) at Fort Huachuca in mid April 2020. My acceptance letter said that I would receive my follow on assignment 30 to 90 days before the start of my school date. I feel like that's to short notice especially when married with kids. How does moving with family work if they cannot accompany you to training? Would they go to my follow on assignment location ahead of me or do I go with them to my follow on assignment location before I start my school? I am currently stationed in Hawaii so this move will be OCONUS to CONUS.

Also, my current DEROS is Dec 9 of this year. There's no way I would be taking 120 something days of leave up until my report date for school on April 17th, so will my DEROS be moved closer to my report date, or will I report to my follow on assignment (if I get them before December) this Dec then report to school in April?

Sorry, I know this is alot of info, just trying to get a better understanding of all this since my move involves my wife and 2 kids. Just trying to prepare myself as best as possible. Thank you in advance.

AR 600-8-11 Reassignments go to the part that says TDY Training, look at the options that apply to your situation. When you receive your levy brief you need to choose one and that will go on your orders.

You should receive your follow on assignment at 90 days prior to class start, if you don't, you need to contact your career counselor so they can request it. Your follow
assignment will usually be 30-60 day after graduation to allow for travel and leave. That's 3 months, plus 4 months of class, plus any leave after; 7-9 months. That's definitely more than enough heads up to move a family.

Ignore your DEROS date, it's irrelevant and it's for use by HRC, not you. Base all your planning off your report date.

Simple - they will fly separately or they will join you once you complete the School.
