Prior service Airforce now in army

Question about unit awards on ERB. Current unit has 3 unit awards that I'm supposed to wear, ERB shows meritorious service and outstanding unit awards from the airforce as well. Do I display them with the 3 temp ones on the left? Or do I do it traditionally like we did in the airforce on the right with all the other ribbons? Reason I ask is the airforce unit awards don't have that gold border and it would look odd having 5 unit awards wouldnt it? Not trying to get hemmed up for the first inspection though and 670-1 is kind of vague on other branch stuff. It says they're all authorized though, just need help figuring out how to display

All ribbons are on the left. Unless you earned a citation for the right then it would be displayed/worn on the right. Hope this helps SPC Roberts.

SSG Michael Noll This is very helpful. As someone in a joint unit with a reserve component I was just waiting for this to come up in an inspection. How you described it is what I presumed to be right, but you know what they say about assumptions when the CSM is checking. Thanks.

You have to go to DA Pam 670-1 not AR 670-1. I have three Air Force Outstanding Unit awards that I received while in the Army so I feel your pain on how a unit award without a frame looks on the right side of uniform, but that is the correct placement. Consult Table 20-1 for the correct order of precedence. Following is taken from the pam.
"All permanent and temporary unit award emblems, with or without frames, are worn in the order of precedence from the wearer’s right to left. Unit awards are worn on the right side of the uniform, regardless of which service or agency awarded them. Only one emblem representing the same unit award is worn at one time. Unit award emblems awarded with frames are worn with the laurel leaves of the frame painting upward. Award emblems are worn in rows containing no more than three emblems per row, with no space between emblems, and with up to 1/8 inch space between rows, depending upon the size of emblems with frames. Personnel may wear unit awards when wearing full-size medals or service ribbons, but they may not wear them with miniature medals. Unit awards received from other U.S. Services that have a frame are worn with the Army (large-size) unit award citation frame. Unit awards of the other U.S. Services that do not have frames are worn on the right side, without frames....Personnel will not wear temporary unit awards for official photographs or for promotion/selection boards.

SPC (Join to see) Another great way to see how your rack would work is by using a rack builder. I know USA Military Medals uses an ezRackbuilder (https://www.ezrackbuilder.com/rack-builder/select-branch). Just select the branch you're in, and then start selecting the awards. USAMM has been around a while, so they keep an eye on the ever changing regs.
