How can I find out what is taking so long with getting my PCS Orders?

I have a question open to all people and all types of answers. I’d like to know what’s taking my PCS orders so long? My retention NCO is always either avoiding me or saying he’s still waiting on HRC even tho they’ve been on post for the past 2-3 weeks. I’d just like a little bit more insight about how it works from other people that’s been their done that a bunch of times & from people that knows something legit too.

You don't have orders because you're not on assignment. You're not on assignment because you never reenlisted. Although, as far as training goes, you would get your assignment 90 prior to when training starts.

SPC (Join to see) I don't know what your Career Counselor is doing, or what they have requested, but you don't have anything locked in. Since you don't have anything locked in, you can't possibly be on assignment. Since you're not on assignment, you can't have any orders.

When is your PCS date? Depending on where you are orders can come about 90 days out. Retention has nothing to do with your orders getting cut or you receiving them, ask your S-1. Does your base have a levy brief that you must go to before you can receive orders? There is a lot of information left out of your question.

He said it’ll be between December of this year & next June 2020. I’m at Fort Bliss. What should I ask my S-1? And I’m in the process of scheduling my Levy brief.

SPC (Join to see) orders won’t come until Levy is complete at bliss, when they do they will come through your email and S1. You will probably see your orders at the earliest December the latest February

You will also need to do a medical screening before you can receive orders as well. Assignment instructions come from HRC, PCS Orders come from the personnel service branch (reassignments. There are things you will have to complete in order to receive your orders. SPC (Join to see)
