How long does it take for promotion points to update after they are updated on your SRB and PPW?

How long it takes for promotion points to update after they are updated on your SRB and PPW? I have been given different answers, ranging from instantly, 2-3 days, and weeks. Other than AR 600-8-19, is there more guidance on this?
