Your unit doesn’t have any 1:50K MGRS maps?

EDIT: this is the age old question. Places To start
- BN S2. They are not supposed to supply the world with maps, but they often have a stash.
- BN S3. They may able t get you pointed to who can provide them locally
- Order them through the Supply Room and the SSA. they have an NSN.
- Have a Topo Detachment print some. They are not supposed to do ala carte orders, but if they are bored they might just do it for you. Topo Det's are usually a Corps Asset.

If there is some local training area special, it may come from installation, like Pinion Canyon at Ft Carson. There may also be a 1:25,000 land nav special particular to the Land Nav training area. This varies Post to post.

Your Company training NCO, BN S2 or S3 shop should have a supply of 1:50,000 maps.

Talk to some pilots. Many pilots get new maps each year and they are perfect for training landnav. Hit your local flying clubs or check with a local Civil Air Patrol unit and just ask. Just remember, these map will be out of date and should not be used for real-world purposes, but for training they will work just fine.

They typically don’t use 1:50K scale maps. They use 1:500,000 TPCs that are useless for land nav.

Understood, but I know some pilots that had 1:50,000 charts in hand. Never hurts to ask. Also, many CAP units are involved in search and rescue activities and their ground teams will likely have maps and charts in the scale required.
