What are some effective ways to network with employers while being stationed in Europe?

I find it very difficult to connect with future employers from Belgium. Im curious if anyone has dealt with this before and looking for advice? I am looking to move into Retail Management and will separate form the Army in September or October.

One of your best ways to develop relationships with stateside employers is through professional social media like LinkedIn and keeping your resume current through job search and professional development sites like monster.com and local employment services. If you have a particular field you want to go into, you can focus on professional forums in that field.
