Do
you think that the military should: upon completion of selecting potential
candidates for promotion, conduct telephonic/in-person interviews with the candidates?
Similar to civilian sector hiring process. Regardless of the line of
questioning being posed; how well do you think you would do and do you think
you would pass? Do you think that peers, subordinates, seniors to you would
pass? Think about the affirmative action in light of that as well.

This sounds like it is already done at the SGT/SSG level promotion board.

Indeed it does SFC Trodahl, however, should it not continue at the senior selection level?
