only wish i had actually received the notification of decrease. fortunately, i have a state VA advocate that i trust implicitly with this. i'm going to have my wife write a lay statement to submit.

There are many possible reasons why. Without knowing more about your circumstances it is hard to say. They can reduce rating based on a few factors. Many conditions while rates are listed as those expected to improve. You should reach out to the VA and ask, then you can build an appeal if necessary. Thank you for your service.

i think it's because i was coming up on the 5 year mark where it can't be reduced.

If that is true then you should have been informed. Contact the VA and ask for a written explanation. The VFW and DA V will assist. SrA John Monette

Yeah..appeal.. and then file a new claim on e benefits..I'd flood em witn new claims.
