I have a question regarding the special forces team at Ft Irwin. I was wondering if anyone had any POC for the special forces team here? I was recently picked up for selection for 160th SOAR (Green Platoon) as a medic. I asked around but no one here seems to know, these guys are like ghost. My intention was to try to get attached to the team here so that I could train with them, and better myself for green platoon & SOCM.

As far as I know there are no other special operations teams in Fort Irwin nor are there any recruiters here either. (The post is extremely isolated) Any helpful info would be appreciated.

There isn't one unless SOCOM coughed up an OC Team of Special Operators. The recruiting team is the only SF presence. That may not even be full time. https://home.army.mil/irwin/index.php/units-tenants/special-forces-recruiting-fort-irwin

Edit: Ops Group has an SF trainer team, from experience....Ops Group is nearly unreachable. On rotation, off rotation, they are hardly ever in their offices.

There is an OC team there. My buddy was the SOF Plans guy there, but he is back at Bragg now.

NTC is not too large, continue to search for an SF presence. They are of course, difficult to locate.,

There's no SF unit there and you don't need one to train with. Your best bet is to train with you PA as far as medical training goes. Physically, just don't quit.
