How many of you brothers and sisters who are retired or disabled get up in the morning wishing you could put on your uniform and head for company area to start another day? Be with those you know and care about, train a new troop, or even get a little but chewing for your CO. Does anyone miss those days like I do and why?

Every Day! Since I'm fully retired now more than ever. I can look back and judge my while career and I will always choose my 20 years in service. I can look back now and laugh about the bad days and times and overall there were more Good than Bad!

Rally Point has truly been a blessing for me to be back among family.

I will start with my own comment. Some good night's when I can get 2 or three hours sleep, I just wait until morning just to find out there is really nothing to do, or things I've already done so many times I am sick of it. Always just want to go back, especially those days when you feel there is nothing left to achieve, just wait for the end. Sure do miss my military life!

You make me want to drive to Texas just to shake your hand.
I'll bet you were a heck of a Soldier.

You are saying some worrying things, SFC Collin McMillion. I worry because I understand EXACTLY what you are saying.
My advice: embrace being the best husband and father you can be. I actually envy you that you have the family you describe. Believe me, it could be worse. Live for them, and your own value and self-worth will rise.
I have my health. Other than that, I am living something very similar to what you describe.
You are not alone, Sergeant.

You should join the VFW or American Legion and get involved in your local post's activities.
