Muslims are commanded to fight unbelievers until they are either dead, converted to Islam, or in a permanent state of subjugation under Muslim domination. Allowing people of other faiths to live and worship independently of Islamic rule is not an option. Islam commands to not make deals or accept nonbelievers as friends. Can Iran be trusted when their religion commands otherwise

I know, right?! Can you believe the Quran says the following, advocating violence against non believers and other religions! It's terrible! I can't believe muslims follow this!:

“If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth; Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him: But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.” Deuteronomy 13:6-10

“And they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul; That whosoever would not seek the Lord God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.” 2 Chronicles 15:12-13

Wait... That might be a different book...

The fact is there aren't a lot of Christians today carrying out violent acts in compliance with biblical scripture. However, there does seem to be at the very least thousands of muslims world wide committing violent acts in accordance with their scriptures, and millions of others that seem to support them.

Gotta call BS on this moral equivalency argument. While both Christianity and Islam have committed atrocities in the past, there is no Christian movement driving Muslims out of anywhere. Mosques and priceless antiquities are not being burned by Christians. Christians are not kidnapping, raping, and beheading Muslims in the name of lines in the Old Testament. Yet a small minority of Muslims, the Islamic extremists, ARE doing those things. The defining characteristic is current behavior, not historical writings.

No, but there are Christians across the world today bombing abortion clinics, killing/beating gays, shooting up mosques, burning “witches” (this one’s still really popular with African Christians), legislating bigotry and impeding scientific and moral advancement. That they aren’t solely targeting Muslims does not grant immunity from guilt.

You haven't looked at a wide variety of sources of information about what teachers of Islam are teaching. I have been a guest at two mosques, one in Malaysia and one in my city of Boulder, Colorado. American Jews and American Muslims often meet to discuss threats in their communities, and how to have community understanding. (I am neither). I have been at many interfaith conferences. Here is an article about prominent Muslim teachers - most of whom are not accused of hating the western religions. http://musliminc.com/8-famous-islamic-preachers-7976 and here is an interfaith cooperation organization of Muslims https://ing.org/
Also a friend of mine, Richard Reoch, who has been in the past the chief press officer for Amnesty International, has attended conferences at a Muslim University in Morocco where students study peaceful relations. I don't want to make this a very long article or it would get boring. Quoting one translation of the Quran into English as calling for war on infidels many centuries ago is like claiming Christians are murderers because various Popes and Kings called for invasion of the Muslims occupying the Holy Land in the middle ages, when almost any country frequently warred against other countries. I did meet one Muslim street person in India who seemed to hate me because I was an American, but in some of those countries they do not have public schools and learn from a local hate group. What have we done to improve education in Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran? Our troops don't have much time for educating the general population.
