When I go through reception at basic do I need to wear glasses if I don't do well? I don't need them, but I'm just worried I will have to.

If you're concerned about your vision, SGT (Join to see), by all means wear your glasses. If you don't need them for most tasks, maybe you could store them in a pocket until you need to put them on for the tasks that require you to wear glasses. Also, just having them readily available will eliminate that nervousness/worry.

It's just I don't want to wear them if I don't have to, and I'm wondering if they will make me wear them if I don't do well on the vision test even though I don't need them

Your question does not make any logical sense, SGT (Join to see). If you don't need glasses, then why would you be concerned about failing the vision test?

I guess what I should be asking is my vision is getting worse, how leniant are they at reception for the vision testing? They didn't tell me I needed glasses when I went through MEPS. but I wonder how they will be when I go through reception at basic and I do the same or a little worse on the vision test.

Military standards for uncorrected vision (distant visual acuity) are:
1: 20/40 in one eye and 20/70 in the other, or
2: 20/30 in one eye and 20/100 in the other, or
3. 20/20 in one eye and 20/200 in the other.
If you made it though MEPS, you will likely make it though Basic. Having said that, I am trying to understand why you don't want the vision correction? Are you concerned about the social stigma of "Birth Control Glasses?". If you eyes are indeed getting worse, it would behoove you to get them corrected asap.
Trust me, you WILL be getting corrective lenses at some point (assuming that your vision in getting worse). Annual physical assessments is part of maintaining soldier readiness. A soldier that cannot see well enough to shoot and observe as well as perform their duties, will not be of much use for the unit. If your vision maintains an excepted standard by the time you get to your first duty station, get it checked again at that point. Outside of combat (combat training) environments, contact lenses are generally allowed.

My vision isn't as good as it once was and I'm nervous that I will have to wear them even though I don't have to now.
