I was denied a SHA by my Commander at my discharge from the Army. He stated that he believed I was a malingerer and that I was just trying to steal benefits from the Army. I was standing a Admin Sep and a Med Board at the same time. He even went as far as to write a letter to the Med Board, informing them of the charges against me and ordered all med board processes to stop immediately. I had to wait 11 months for a Admin Sep Board, and the med board records that were used were well past admissibility for administrative purposes. I ended up being discharged with HEP C and a hernia that took 3 surgeries and 11 days in ICU to "fix". I know nothing will ever be done, but I would like to just have some peace of mind to know I was right.

You were not right. When a Soldier is pending a med board and admin separation, they go through the process of both and it goes to the General to decide which the Soldier will receive. Your commander was not capable of stopping a med board (unless this was like 15 years ago). In your case the Division commander chose admin separation.
